Ingredients
2 medium eggs
1/3 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4 slices bread
1/4 lb deli ham; smoked, thinly sliced
1/4 lb deli turkey; roasted, thinly sliced
1/4 lb gruyere cheese; thinly sliced
4 tsps butter
maple syrup
raspberry jam
Directions
1. Preheat cast iron griddle on medium.
2. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, cloves and cinnamon in a dredging dish and whisk together.
3. Make two sandwiches layered as follows:

2 slices of ham
1 to 1 1/2 slices of Gruyere
2 slices of turkey

4. Melt 1 teaspoon butter on griddle.
5. Dredge sandwich in egg mixture (similar to french toast) on both sides.
6. Place on griddle and cover to melt cheese, when brown on first side, flip and fry other side.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for the other sandwich.
Plate and serve with maple syrup or jam.
